And I know how to celebrate!!! (Thanks to Savannah Sells, too)

I know I already posted about finishing my Masters of Education, but it all hit home today when my mom told me that 10 or so years ago, she wasn't sure I would accomplish the goals I set before I graduated high school. I had dropped out of college at the time, and doing some stupid stuff, but... I'm back on track!!!!!

I just completed my Doctorate. I had said that I would never go back to school, that the PharmD was idiotic.

Amazing what a mid-career focus change does for you. When I finished my last exam I felt as though a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

Congratulations, and enjoy the stick. Be proud and hold your head high!

I had that conversation with my mom, too... about 10 years ago when I had dropped out and was doing "stupid stuff," and now I am 1.5 years from completing my masters. Congrats, brother!

You've just given me a shot in the arm... time to work on my Lit review.

I have no intentions of being an administrator. There is not enough incentive to want to do that.

My next stop will be high school, for me.

My wife wants to get her certificate for ultrasound technician, and once she has finished that, I am going to get to work on my doctorate, and probably do like I did with my masters: bullrush it until it's done.

In the meantime, I will be looking out for adjunct teaching opportunities at a community college, and then, later, I want to end up teaching music theory at the collegiate level.

Congratulations, to you! I have to be honest, when they announced the doctoral candidates, yesterday, I got a bit emotional.
