Hello Brothers,

I am a new member from Bahrain. I don't think there might be many here from Bahrain, I wouldn't be surprised if there are none.

I got into cigars about a year back and was mostly smoking CC only as that's all that's available here. I always used to look at NC online but was never able to buy as almost all USA sites don't ship to us, I don't know why.

Recently a friend (Yousuf) introduced me to NC he had and also requested one main US retailer to ship to us. They agreed and opened their doors for us and then even two other good ones did. Sadly none of the forum sponsors did, which I why I am not naming the retailers that did, to avoid cutting some slack here.

So now we have a few retailers shipping to us and I hope more join too so we can also have access to NC like you lucky guys have.

Anyways this friend, Yousif was very generous in sharing his NC cigars and introducing me to a whole new world. He has always been very kind and very generous and has been an example for me and many others. A true BOTL.

I am very happy to have found this where I can meet many more BOTLs and learn so much from all you good people.

Currently my favorites are - LE bijoux, Joya de Nicaragua Antano, Joya de Nicaragua dark Antano, AF Anejo Shark, oh so many more. Can't ever list out totally.

I totally dislike the Opus X and the Eiroa first twenty years.

The above is only my opinion though.

Welcome!

I'll be just a few miles away from you in Dhahran in a couple of months. I love the little LCDH there.. Some good smokes at decent prices if you ever make it across the bridge into Saudi Arabia..

It's not often we read of Cuban smokers who are excited to have recently discovered that they can order NC's online and have them shipped. Kinda the reverse of most of us over here in the states. Welcome to BOTL!

Thank you brother for the invite. If i ever do come there, i will surely give you a shout. Whereas if you ever to come to Bahrain, you are more than welcome to come meet me at my Watch retail showroom in Seef Mall, called The Watch Boutique. I won't post the website link here as that might be advertising and i dont want to get into trouble. We could meet up and smoke together whenever you plan to come here and the sticks are on me, my dear guest.

Have a safe travel to Saudi and have a safe and pleasant stay.

hahaha yes i can imagine mate how different it must be to see the likes of me here. Trust me we are bored of buying the regular cubans (nothing limited, nothing special comes here) and that too at prices you cannot imagine. Just to give you a reference, a Cohiba Maduro 5 Magicos is priced at the local retailer at USD 65.00 aprox.

Therefore our market is quite expensive as compared to global prices. And on top of that the Cuban Cigars are beaten to death, no variations no different flavour profiles. Nothing exciting. The NC are much better in my opinion and are a major part of my collection now. Again all this is only my opinion and preference. The majority may differ and they have a right to, as per their individual tastes.

yeah its so funny to hear you call us lucky for having access to NC sticks when many of us would say the opposite about you having access to CCs lol. I won't deny that there are plenty of great NC offerings though... but 65 for a box of Cohiba maduros is pretty insane compared to what we have to pay lol. Anyway welcome from North Carolina.

Well first up let me clear the confusion for you mate. We pay 65 USD for ONE STICK of Cohiba Maduro 5.

I agree the situation is a bit funny. We have access to Cubans only and we miss out so much taste that the NC provides. You have all the variety and miss out (well just a bit, as you guys still get the Cubans hahaha) on the Cubans.

We have a theory here that once the Americans get the Cubans, they will realize there isn't much they have missed as the NC are way ahead of the game. But then again this is only our theory that we sit in our small part of the bigger more beautiful world and hatch in our small minds. No one knows what the real scene would be.
