Greetings and Salutations from Phoenix-

I have been into cigars for a couple years now, but am trying to learn more and this seems like the place to do so. My favorite smokes so far are a 5 Vegas Miami and My Father La Antiguedad. I really like the Miami for an everyday smoke, and am trying to find some similar cigars along the same lines. I usually only smoke the La Antiguedads on special occasions because they are a lot more expensive. If you folks have any suggestions on new smokes to try I would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks,

Chris

Greetings and Salutations Billy. If information is what you seek, you sir, have come to the right place... Tons of knowledge flowing out of this place. If you share what you like about the stick you mentioned, it would help people give you some recommendations.

Welcome from Redlands, California, your Westward neighbor.

I like the flavor of the five Vegas (and the la Antiguedad), and while the Miami does not seem as heavy, it still has what I consider to be a strong flavor without being overpowering, while still having a strong nicotine kick (for me at least :) ). I also like the fact that I am not tasting it five hours later if that makes sense. I have tried some of the cigars listed as full on the CI website, and while some of them were way too strong, others (like the Miami) seemed okay. I read online that the wrapper has a lot to do with the flavor of the cigar, and most of the ones that I have liked have a habano or corojo wrapper.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome. I had a San Lotano habano oval last night and I really disliked the flavor profile, tasted like a piece of burnt toast wrapped in cedar. I have been eyeing some of the gran habano offerings, off to cbid to continue the search :)
