Greetings from Central Texas

Hello all,

My obsession with cigars started about 3 months ago. I was hanging out at a friends house and we planned to visit a local cigar shop. I picked up a Drew Estate Java Maduro and tried it a few days later. I was immediately hooked. I now have a full 50 cigar humidor with a sweet selection of Gurkhas, Acid Kuba Maduro, Liga Privada T52 Belicoso, Oliva Serie V, Drew Estate Java Maduro, and La Vieja Habana Brazilian Maduro. I actually just tried a T52 today for the first time because my wife surprised me with a 5 pack when I got home from work this afternoon.

I'm not very interested in trading, but I am looking forward to checking out some of the discounts. My favorites are the Java, Gurkha Black Dragon, and La Vieja Habana. I'm a software engineer by day and I also write heavy metal instrumental music. I usually enjoy my cigars with scotch or beer. I often drink Famous Grouse, which is a cheap blended scotch, but I like it. I will occasionally splurge on a 15 year Glenfiddich or any McCallen.

Thanks to the forum owners for creating this online community. I'm looking forward to sharing some cigar experiences.

As a side note, I noticed that you have an Acid Kuba Kuba in your collection. Just a word of caution. I have been told that when you have a flavor infused cigar in your Humidor with other cigars, the infused flavor can find its way into the other cigars. I have not had this happen to me personally, because I keep any infused cigars in a separate location.
