I'm pleased to join this leafed fraternity. I'm a relatively new smoker trying not to get too consumed with this honeymoon phase of cigar love. I grew up in a home and continued a lifestyle oblivious to the world of tobacco and was surprised to find that a rather arbitrary excursion with some Walgreens cavendish and a corncob would lead me eventually here. I had no idea tobacco actually tasted so good (Cigarettes really do a disservice to the plant) The hassle of pipe smoking however, led me to cigars a couple of years ago and I have been converted ever since. I work as a sporadically motivated artist and teacher, and have the sporadic income to match which keeps my smoking purchases lean, but I find enjoying just a stick (or two) a week provides a healthy return on investment compared to other choices for distraction. I look forward to learning more about intricacies of regional leafs and blends and treating my palate to the recommendations of the more experienced. My favorite smokes so far have been Illusione 88 Robusts (which earned my first box purchase) as well as Crowned Heads Four Kicks and Headly Grange (Robustos). The Tatuaja Monster pack was also really great. I'm still learning how to articulate what I am tasting and enjoying about a cigar so will probably be conservative in posting too many opinions at this stage, but am happy to contribute whatever I can to the collective wisdom.
