One of my favorite movies is Groundhog Day. That said, if the theme of living the same day over and over translates to smoking one cigar back to back....what cigar would you choose for this years Groundhog Day?

I am not sure what would make it for me, but my first inclination is a couple Guillermo Leon gran corona's. Plenty of complexity to keep it interesting, of course along with the fact I find them highly enjoyable.

Definitely a Top 5 movie for me. Absolutely love Groundhog day.

Currently, I wouldn't mind having to smoke the Viaje Platino Samurai over and over again. Very hard to choose, though.

A holiday that really has very little following around here. Classic movie though, always catch it a few times around the holiday, love it.

Regardless what the groundhog see's, still will be many months before I open the deck, light the tiki's, and kick back in short sleeves and shorts.

It's Groundhog Day! Right now I'm halfway through the first cigar and beer. Not a great pairing nor a detriment to each other. But they both taste fantastic! If my beer buzz will allow, I may have to go for more Chimay blue. It's been to long since I've had some Chimay; I am starting to think I owe it to the Chimay monks to have a little more than normal.:bottle:

I read an article today in which the author tried to determine exactly how long Bill Murray was stuck in the loop for.

He said that, looking at all the things he learned and did, it was probably 30+ years.

Even Harold Ramis - the director - said the intention was always that he was there for more than 10 years.

That being said, for a cigar I'd smoke over and over and over, it'd probably be either the PSD4, Capoeira Aluno, or Man o' War Virtue.

New guy here. Also a fan of "Groundhog Day." I love that we're getting some great trivia about the film in addition to cigar selections.

For me, I'd have to say the LFD DL 660.
