POS 06 i know they should age some more but they are so good right now i cant stop smoking them.

It sounds crazy but towards the half way mark they have this lite salty sweet butter flavor.

Also they of course have the classic Upmann flavor profile through out a nice complex smoke.

Upmann's are my thing, and I love these cigars, but oddly I prefer the Monte 2's. I never got the buttery thing you describe, you sure you weren't craving popcorn!!:rofl:

I love Upmann #2s as well.
I've got an 06 box, maybe I should crack it open with the paper and coffee this morning...............yeah that's just what I'm gonna do.

They always seem too light for me. Though the last one I had was may'be 03-04.

Which month? Seems most of the 06 in almost any line have been very good. These will get even better in years to come. I hope you have another box to age.

A classic cigar that builds over time. I've had some boxes from 2001 that were stellar! I go back and forth between these and the Monte #2s. I'm a bit more partial to the Upmann profile though.

Interesting Kev, I've found the Upmann # 2 to be much more consistent then the Monti 2. When the monti 2 is own it's awesome but they are much more up and down compared to the Upmann #2. I too have some from '01 and these are some of the best 2's I've had.

I guess it depends on what you like to smoke in the mornings. These are stronger than what I typically smoke in the mornings. I don't like the cigar to overpower my coffee. A good ERdM PC, CS, or LFdC Corona is perfect with my morning coffee.

Well put. I would not consider the H Up #2 as a morning smoke.
