Looking to pick up a box of CC Robusto/Hermosos No. 4 . Just wondering what everyones thoughts were on the Juan Lopez No.2, VR Famosos and the H. Upmann Connie No. 1? Any other suggestions are welcome. My experience so far with CC's of this size are the RYJ Short Churchill and HDM EE (more of a CG in size). Thanks.

RyJ Ex. No. 4 are always a good choice as well. Out of the two you listed, VR or JL would be my personal preference. Have no experience with the HU.

Of the three specific sticks you've listed, I'd go with the VR Famosos, then the Juan Lopez Sel. No. 2. (I have yet to try the H. Upmann Conn. #1.)

To muddy the waters further, I'd also give some consideration to the Saint Luis Rey Regios (Hermoso No. 4) - a terrific smoke, IMO.

If I were to get one of those, I would go with JL, just based on personal experience with the brand.

Right now I'd probably opt for the J-Lo 2's. The recent production of them has been very good. My friend at the lounge told me that he is on his 5th box already this year.

If I all three boxes were "on" I would go with the VR Famosos. As I like the profile of that cigar the best of the 3.

While the H.Upmann line is one of my favorites The Connie No.1's that I've tried have never done much for me. But word on the street is that the 2008's were one of the best regular production cigars put out that year. So if you can find a box of 08's I'd probably go that route.

I hope this helps and let us know what box you decide to get.

I really appreciate everyone's input. Love the presentation of the JL No. 2's in the 25 count cab. I'll keep you all posted. Cheers!

Actually a lot of classics in this size...PSD4, RASS, Boli Royal Corona and the aforementioned CoRo.

When I think about it, Hermosa No. 4 and Robusto constitute my favorite smokes.

My vote goes to the VR Famosos. I find a nice amount of coffee/espresso in those. I do have a bias as I have never had the JL's though. The VR's are next on my CC list.
