Prelight-Mushrooms, earth, spice.
First Third- Dry cocoa and almond are evident on the first draw. They dance nicely with one another, each moving from background to foreground. The tiniest amount of creamy lemon plays in the background accentuating flavors of cocoa and nuts. Toward the end of the first third cashew breaks free from the cocoa-nut dance and takes center stage. It is a bit windy on my back patio which I believe is causing the cigar to burn a little unevenly. Mild in body.
Second Third- The ash is hanging past the 1.5 inch mark. Cashew remains, with slight honey and very faint citrus in the background. Ash fell at the 2 inch mark. Almond moves forward and takes center stage. A light saltiness is also present. The burn has improved a bit as the wind has lessened. Almond and cashew are the prevent flavors at this time. A raw peanut quality is also present in the background. A slight note of cedar is also present. Cedar becomes a bit more pronounced and a toast-like quality begins to develop in the background. What an interesting cigar!
Final Third- Cedar intermingles with almond and cashews. Body becomes medium and nutmeg is just barely detectable in the background. Vague traces of anise develop. Cedar and anise take over the foreground with almond and cashews moving to the background as we move toward the nub. This was a truly wonderful experience. Thanks for reading.
Cheers!
