H. Upmann Mag 46

This is the 3rd of the cigars that I received from Fredneck on his "484th post contest".

I decided to save the best for last - and it was definitely the best. :thumbsup:

I just finished smoking this awesome cigar - my only regret is that I don't have a whole box of these in my humidor. :cryloud:

The appearance and construction of this cigar were near perfect. The cigar lit easily and the first puff hit me with a mixture of leather and cocoa - This cigar definitely had some power but the taste was so pleasant that it almost seemed like a mild cigar. After the first third, the smoke became almost creamy - I'd experienced this before with a few fine fuentes but not for the duration that I did with the H. upmann. There were so many flavors in this cigar, it was hard to put my finger on many of them. The leathery taste was present throughout - the cocoa hit from time to time and there was definitely more of a black pepper taste as I neared the end of the cigar. I smoked this one until my fingers had no place else to hold it .

Thanks for the awesome cigar Fredneck!! You may have started to pull me deeper to the dark side.:frown: :frown:

The Mag 46's are great cigars. If you enjoyed the 05, you should try to get some with some age. They are heavenly!

Terrific cigar that smokes older than the date. As an 05 you can truely enjoy these. You can tell that these will also age well. One of my favorites.

Just picked up some LLN MAY 03's that are very tasty. The thing I like about the MAG 46's is they are very complex and one of the most consistant cigars made. In fact I never hear any one complain about bad MAG 46's. They may not be to thier taste but never any construction problems. One of the best cigars when you factor in price, quality and smoking satisfaction. IMO

The 05 46 is one of the great young smokes. The 05 box I have is smoking great right now. The 05's have character despite their youth. I like these more than alot of the aged smokes I have right now. I will save about 10 from my box and not touch them for at least 2-3 years. I am curious to how they will age. I think 05 could be a very good year. I would buy a couple more boxes of these but I'm a little impatient. I'm more into getting boxes already aged now. IMHO two of the best 05's are the SLR churchill and the Magnum 46. Hopefully, I can get my walk in humi up and going in the next 6 months. I'm already busting at the seams. So many smokes so little time.
