i only requested one cigar on my 06 wishlist. Chuck (CWS) made it happen. now, i wish i would have asked for more than one! I smoked this one saturday night while watching a beautiful AZ sunset, thru twilight, and into the evening!

Prelit draw was a bit tight, with some earthiness and a bit of spice. Upon lighting, the draw was not a problem at all. lot's of smoke, with flavors of coffee bean, bitter chocolate, and that awesome cuban tobacco flavor! about mid-way, the flavors blended to a very nice toffee flavor, enveloped in that great tobacco. it remained this way throughout, gaining in strength till the last puff. very smooooth, very gooood!!!

definetly, a superb smoke! haven't had one like that before, and am very interested in acquiring more! still on the waiting list....

Thanks again Chuck!

I had one of these last year and enjoyed it but didn't think it was worth what they go for because of being EL. I think with some age however they probably will be fantastic.

Thanks for the review; I'm sitting on one that was a gift from Mikes...was thinking about torching it up sometime in the next month, but based on the banter, I think I'll hold off a little while. Maybe it'll be a late-spring smoke...

The Upmann Mag 50 is destined to be an epic EL. Many are not so lucky, but I believe this merits my claim. It is evolving nicely and has all the classic characteristics of the Upmann marca and then some. This was a fine EL choice by Habanos.

Hmm. A couple of these magically appeared here a few weeks ago. How long should I sit on them before they're good to go?(I know they were originally purchased in the first three months of production)... With something like this, I don't have enough to smoke one and "see how it is," and continue checking every few months.
