Now I have in many cases fallen into the the standard thought tha Habanos construction is never as good as NC. I had one of the only exceptions last night. I will start this by saying that my standards for perfect construction are really high. For perfect it must burn even. Preferably the ash will show a ring for every puff, no flaking and hold on for a substantial time. This time a petite corona lasted me about an hour and a half and smoked to the nub without ever getting hot or needing a touch up. The only other cigar I remember smoking that I would say was as well constructed was a Dominican Davidoff. I managed to take a couple of kinda crappy phone pictures while smoking.

Wow, crazy long ash! The variation in construction among Habanos is infuriating. The flavors are so great, but often burn is wonky, wrappers are ugly... This is a beautiful specimen.

There is a flake at the 1" and 2 1/2" mark clearly dropping it to a 9.75 rating!!!! (nearly perfect) You'll have to try again...... :eyepoke: Nice smoke Aaron. I'm sure those clean flavors lasted long after she was thru.

I dunno....looks like it's a lucky thing it wasn't a longer stick. Had the beginnings of a serious canoe there toward the end......:nodlaugh:

I know this is a habanos thread, but i just finished a Frank. It had a solid straightline burn and the same pancake ash that you mention. Tremendous smoke.

Awesoem, Aaron! But how was the cigar in terms of flavor? I've never had a #4 Reserva, but I've had a dozen or so #4s. Most were average, but one was just amazingly delicious (may have been the one you sent me, actually!).

These are really hitting their stride. It was a great cigar they pretty much those awesome rare reg monte 4 's which are close to perfect.
