My best friend, and fellow BOTL is here on break from the Army. We went to the gun range today and rented an M-16 and a Glock 17. I had never shot an M-16 before, and I must say it was a good time. He wanted to do some M-16 firing to re-qualify after the holidays. I kept it on single shot, as full-auto (although fun as hell, I'm sure) seems rather expensive. My buddy had never fired a handgun, so I gave him a brief course of what I could remember from like 12 years ago (the last time I shot anything). I found the Glock to be very easy to control, and after about 10 shots could keep it in a respectable spread. All in all, both were a lot of fun to shoot- a good afternoon.
