That's purely nuts. I wonder how well a roof deals with that. I the hail broke some shingles. Do you think it'd dent one of those newer style metal shingle roofs?

I'll take an earthquake over that any day. Holy crap, that has got to damage to your roof. Not to mention car lots....

Hail half that size makes a new roof worthless. Here in the midwest the ins companies absolutely hate these storms. Most of the time they'll right off the whole roof(shingles. gutters and vents). But the roofing companies that follow them absolutely love them!

This storm went from NW to SE OKC with marble to softball sized hail. It broke 1/2 of the car, office and home windows that were facing north. The wooden shake and lighter tar shingle roofs didn't hold up so well. Many had baseball sized holes punched in them. Sky lites and leaves didn't do so well either. Any cars in the path now look like a golf ball. I have a few pics of the golf greens at OKC CC - pretty unreal. I will try to post them.
