Definitely worth trying! I feel like it still has the kick, but turned up a little bit in the flavor and strength profile. To me it smokes/tastes much more crisply than the 1970 which I still love. Let me know if you agree once you've tried one.

From what I remember the 1970's flavor notes were all still there with the addition of more black pepper, spice, cedar, cinnamon, some sweetness as well as a creamier mouth feel while the original flavors were all just much more bold and pronounced.
I also felt as if the flavors were more distinguishable and didn't meld together like the 1970 that I smoked. I still have another 1970 and gran reserva left so I plan on smoking them back to back on two subsequent mornings before I eat anything to see if I can come up with any more differences/similarities.
