I was recently answering some questions about my trip to Cuba earlier this year when I realized I haven't shared a custom Google map I created for Havana. This map is a collection of information gathered from the Havana issue of Cigar Aficionado, from various cigar forums, and internet research. There is a legend at the top left explaining what the various marker icons represent.

Someone might find this useful, especially if it is your first trip to Havana. Let me know if there are questions or comments on the map.

Note: Android users can cache any Google map on their smartphone for offline use for up to 30 days. This came in handy in Cuba where my cell phone doesn't work.

Great resource, and thanks. I hope to make my Haj next year sometime.
On a side note, how does one change the type of cigar that you like below your name and above the avatar? And how do you add a "sig" line under your name? Can't figure out how to do that.

The cigar size is a way of indicating post count. For example, you have 6 posts, so you are rated a "mini" according to BOTL.

Congrats on your trip! Make sure you test the "cache map" feature in Google Maps before you go to make sure it works on your phone.

Great map, i wish i had this 12 months ago.

Does the gps still work and show where you are on a cached map?
I have read that GPS does not work in Cuba. I didn't even try turning it on when I was there. I just used cross streets as a reference. So essentially this is a more handy version of a paper map.

EDIT: By the way, for those going to Cuba: most streets in Havana (especially in Vedado and Miramar) are marked, but they don't use traditional street signs like we do in North America and Europe. They have these small 1-foot high pyramid/block structures at corners with the street marked. Took me a few minutes to figure out. As I recall, Habana Vieja uses more European/NA-style street signs.

Here is a picture of a typical Havana street marker:
