Haven’t been posting for a while.

Sorry guys. Got a moment so here it is. Work has just been none stop and at a ridiculous pace. I hate engineering. They always schedule something to be completed in half the time it should take with half the man power needed. Been working OT and taking 1\2 hour lunches at which time I don’t even want to look at the computer. Doing new designs and retrofits for power plant sometimes having to reference dwgs that were done in the early 1950’s. This sh#t is killing my eyes and I just don’t have the mind set for it anymore. When I get home the last thing I want to do is get on my computer (dial up to boot). Does anyone want to move to SC and open a Cigar Shop/Lounge with me? Better yet do any of our talented and creative BOTLs have a time machine to kick me back about 27 years? I’d open a smoke shop and never utter the word engineering! (lol)

A belated Happy B’day to all I missed.

I will try to log on some more when I can but I have been a little preoccupied as well. My 14 year old daughter is having some medical problems and we’re waiting on a referral and the wife and I are pissed at how long it’s taking. We should have had the appointment by now. It took a rant from my wife (and she’s good), the doctor called back and apologized for the staff dropping the ball on not processing the referral in a timely manner. We’re just on edge right now and even if I had time to post I just don’t think I’d have my thoughts together.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone.
It has just been a stressful time. I’m still swamped with work and shouldn’t even be posting right know but then again I don’t always do what I’m supposed to do.
We have an appointment for my daughter on Oct 29th. That’s the earliest we could get with this doctor. He’s the spine specialist with the orthopedic group we were referred to. My daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis. She looks fine and healthy, stands straight and tall, is on a competition dance team and doesn’t exhibit any signs of a problem until her regular doctor noticed what he thought was a slight curve (something we’ve been watching for and hoping not to find). He sent her for x-rays and they showed the degree of curve in her spine warranted a referral to this specialist. This blind sided us. Our worst fear is that she will need surgery and right now 10/29 seems like a long way off. My wife had it and had surgery when she was 12 and the degrees of curve were the same but they have come a long way in 30 years as to how they treat it. We just have to wait now.

There are a lot of posts to catch up on but I better get back to work now, the pressure is on.
