Does anyone here have any experience with HD radio? I am specifically looking for a table top HD radio but any experience you have (car, portable, etc) would be useful. Just trying to decide between $100 for the HD or <$20 for a regular table top. Thanks

Mostly just the lack of monthly fees and the ability to listen to local stations. I use Pandora for most of my music variety but I am looking for something to have on the porch when I light one up.

Posted via Mobile Device the big question is does your location permit an hd signal. a for sure option you could also use a tabletop internet radio for about same price as hd tabletop. It utilizes your home wifi and gives you same capabilities as pandora

I know that stations in my area broadcast an HD signal but I don't know if I can pick it up on my porch. I don't know if I've ever heard of a tabletop internet radio... cool idea. Do you have any specific recommendations? If not, I'll consult with my friend google. Thanks for the idea.

HD sounds a lot better I noticed, and the prices have come down. Radio Shack had a table top that sounded great for $200 just a couple years ago.. now its at $100. I would hold off untill black friday or that weekend. Someone will have a good deal on them. Also look online and see what stations are in your area, there may not be as many as you thought.

I believe Slacker Radio has a portable radio that you could hook into a desktop (such as one that you can plug an MP3 player into. Slacker is similar to Pandora (both internet radio).
