HdM Petit Robusto v. H Upmann Half Corona

For those of you that have had the H Upmann Half Corona (http://www.botl.org/community/forums/showthread.php?t=52139), how did it compare to the HdM Petit Robusto?

Wow think you are looking at a pretty small group here. I have smoked both and am not sure on the answer. I smoke a lot of the Petite Robo's but am still smoking from 03 boxes. I have only smoked 1 half corona and it was at the
H Upmann dinner at the festival. While it was good it was still quite young. I do love the size so will be interested as where they price them selves. But will pick up some to age as much prefer the upmann blend well aged in most cases. They gave out 5 at the dinner but I have no more left to try as I gifted all mine away and had to get mine off the head of LCDH. Looking forward to them coming out and hope they are not delayed as long as the Julieta's were.

thanks for the feedback - curious if the HdMs will smoke better when young.

I figure that as of now there are only a few that have tried, but that should change as the year progresses and I'm looking forward to thoughts as they come.

I have smoked a couple of boxes of HDM PR and they need 3 years or more imo, after 5 they ar really good. I dont know how the ones from 2010 are or younger.

I've had one HdM PR, it was too young but I think it will be a great smoke down the road.

Really surprised about the poll on this. Guess I am more surprised that there are 9 people that have tried both and can say which they prefer.

haven't tried any of them as well.

Trying to like petit robustos. I always feel short changed once they are finished.

The only one I really like is the bolivar short bolivar. MMMMmm....

The HDM PR's are fantastic smokes. Love them. The 09's are smoking great right now.
