Ok guys I will be in Savannah Monday or Tuesday with so many good restaurants where are the local dives and places we just should not miss? I was born and raised here in the south so good ol home cooking and sea food are high on the list. Also any cigar shops I should hit?

Doc I was just in Savannah. They have a new jaywalking fine, $208. No warnings and no signs telling you about this. We saw the police hand out 11 tickets in about 45 mins. They did not tell the people how much the tickets were when they issued them. This happened just above the waterfront where all the foot traffic is. I couldn't believe it. There were 7 officers standing on the street corners just waiting to write the tix.

There is a great pizza place on one end of the outdoor walking mall. I can't remember the name. It has some out door seating and it's on the end opposite the wild wing cafe. That was a fun place to hang out and people watch also. If you want good southern food, the lady and son's (Paula Deens place), or the place on the waterfront that sells begniets (can't remember the name). My buddy and I just walked around and ate appetizers and had a drink at several places that appealed to us.

Oh and the cigars in both those shops are expensive. I'd bring my own.

Just make sure you don't jaywalk especially if you see cops with their ticket books in hand. $208 fine is a buzzkill for sure.
