Hey everyone I'm a complete noob when it comes to CC's, but I'm traveling out of the country for my honeymoon and should have the chance to try some. What I'm wondering is what would people recommend I try? I'll try anything once, but in particular I'm looking for budget friendly sticks that are regularly available.

In case anyone is familiar with the Caribbean and it influences what would recommend (location/availability) here is where I will be…
Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Georgetown, Cayman Islands
Costa Maya, Mexico

Thanks!

Cohiba Robusto, Siglo III or VI
Ramon Allones Specially Selected
Hoyo Du Monterrey Epicure No 2 and Especial
H Upmann Mag 46
That's your list of basic, quintessential CCs. Just be careful where you buy them. Play it safe and find an LCDH.

I'm no expert, but avoid anything in Mexico unless it's an LCDH, and the list of amazing regular production CCs is way to long to list! ckay has a [retty good list going.

I'd add HdM Epicure #2, RASCC, Partagas 898, Juan Lopez 1, and Boli PCs to the list. All have been smoking well fresh for me.

Have a great trip man! If I were you, just plan on bringing your own for the most part because you won't be finding too many legit cigar shops and if you do, they will not be cheap. From what I know, there is only 1 LCDH shop in the areas you list, in George Town and it's right by the cruise terminals from what it looks like... (not knowing where your cruise ports.) I personally would only buy from a LCDH shop but you will probably see other random resort/town cigar shops. They will be littered with fakes. You can buy regular budget cigars anytime, just ask the Chi-town boys on where to buy and you can save a lot of money over buying them in the Caribbean. IMO, you are on a special trip so plan on buying a couple special cigars. :)

The one cigar I would recommend keeping your eye open for is the brand new 2014 Regional Edition La Gloria Cubana Paraiso. It can only be sold in the Caribbean but as far as I know, hasn't made it to the stores yet.

The LCDH in George Town is at, and the owner Velerio is well-known.

Pretty much sums it up. Take with you what you want to smoke. What you are able to find will just be a bonus. Churchills in George Town is a legit shop too.

The singles at the Grand Cayman LCDH are expensive. Bolivar Royal Corona and RA superiore were $20 each. Singles carry duty tax boxes don't. He ships overnight or 2 day via FedEx. The other shop there is churchill's. Prices weren't much different.

Was just in Georgetown for a week. Both SmokinNukie and AlohaStyle called it. The LCDH and Churchills both sell legit CC. My avatar is a pic of the LCDH in GCI. If you are flying in the duty free Chruchills at the airport is cheapest. Otherwise they both have their little price differences within a dollar or two of each other. The plus for LCDH is their is a coffe bar and lounge. But Churchills is in a mall with a nice pool on top with girls!

I too suggest you prepare for not necessarily finding what you want, and have reserve on hand.
Remember this: cheap CCs are fake CCs. Great deals are fake deals. Buy from know good sources if you want known good sticks.
Also, fauxhibas aren't all dog rockets, if you feel adventurous.

otherwise the lists is already told and includes Cohiba Siglo III, Hoyo de Montere Epicure, H Upmann and whatever you feel like trying. Like what you smoke. Smoke what you find.
