We have a Lull at work Almost Like This and we want to put some plexi-glass on the back and may'be the top of the cab. There's about may'be a 1/2" of metal on all sides to work with. I'm wondering what would be the best way to go about this?

I was thinking of just getting some self-tapping metal screws, but then I wasn't sure if the plexi-glass would rattle a lot of not. Anyone have any suggestions? What type of glue might be best? May'be use glue + screws?

The best picture that's similar to the back of our Lull:

Seriously, why not use screws with some foam weatherstripping between the glass and steel. It'll cushion the glass and prevent any rattling, predrill the holes in the steel and you're all set. Just thinkin' out loud.

Yeah, or rubber washers. And you might wanna get polycarbonate (lexan, Hyzod, tuffak, etc.) depending on what you think might be smashing into it. Plexiglass shatters and polycarbonate just bends/dents. If you hit plexiglass with a hammer it breaks like glass (kinda), but polycarbonate would just get a dent.

get some "C" channel cut to shape you need lay a bead of silicone caulk use some "Z" shaped clips to hold the plexiglass and "C" channel the tab on the "Z" shaped clips screw thoses down to back of your cab
the reason I say screw them down is sooner or later the plexi glass is gonna get scratched and need replaceing

Find a golf cart with one, look at that. There are even ones that fold in half-so you get some ventilation. They come tinted and clear.

I remounted the one on my Yamaha, you just need to go slow when drilling. So as not to crack the acrylic.

Weld or screw 90* elbow to the frame, then use small bolts to attach the polycarbonate. Use a rubber washer to cushion between the elbow and the Poly, then you will be able to use a lock washer or locking nut to help prevent them from loosening up from vibration. It will also make replacement easier. They will get scratched.
