I stumbled across this site a couple times looking for cigar reviews. After digging in a little more I am really intrigued with the community aspect of sharing not only advise and experiences but actual cigars also. Great concept!
I'm a dairy farmer in central California. I like outdoor activities, and traveling and my latest hobby is buying and smoking cigars.
I'm a noob. I smoked maybe 50 cigars in 20 years until this last thanksgiving. I've burned cigarettes for 18 years (last one 2 weeks ago) and realized what crap they are after smoking that macanudo portofino that day.
I ordered a few 5 packs and a sampler online that night and brought my old 20 ct humI for back to life. I've now added 2 coolidors and a G Watts desktop humi in my office.
I love anything made by Don Pepin Garcia so far (blue, la atiguidad, flor de Antilles, la aroma de cuba, jj series, Jiame reserve). Aging Room f55 and m356ii are great. Padrons are really good. I now try to buy cigars in their $2.50-5 range because I want more and I realize there are really good deals on great cigars without spending $10 a stick.
I tried to open the "fiscally responsible" page but I don't have access to it. Can one of the moderators please grant me access. I need to read it. This hobby can get out of control. But I really enjoy it.
That's enough for now.
