What’s Up… JDog from Chicago. I was reading the glossary of “The Tobacconist Handbook” and saw the B.O.T.L. acronym. With so many Brick & Mortar experiences where different people recommended that I might enjoy BOTL, I had to join. The book and a trip to KC, MO pushed me over the edge.

I’ve been smoking premium cigars for about 12 years, although I didn’t start taking it seriously until around 2001. I’ve been through the “smoke them if you got them” and the “I will only smoke one brand” mentalities through the years. For the last 1.5 years I’ve been more open to new stuff… even chasing the hard to find sticks. I see this forum as an opportunity to learn from the experts and share a few good stories.

Love Tatuaje and my favorite stick is the Tainos… I’m also a big time Lito or La Flor Dominicana fan, especially the Double Ligero. That said, I’ve been known to also smoke Viaje, Illusione, Fuente, Davidoff, Zinos, etc.
Thank you for letting me join!

I’m going through “BOTL Pre-Study Package” but any suggestions to make this an even better experience are welcome.

Thank you for the notes... I frequent Casa De Montecristo in Countryside, IL... La Grange area. I actually live near the Wrigley area... northside.

Welcome aboard! CDM huh ... what an incredible place! One of the most welcoming B&Ms that I've ever been to. Enjoy yourself here, there's a lot to learn.

Welcome to BOTL! Lot of great Chicago area BOTLs on here. Casa is the B&M that I frequent the most, even though I'm further north than you are.
