Hello to alll BOTL!
My name is Paul and I am originally from Maine. During my time in the Army I was able to spend a lot of time in Central and South America, which was a great chance to smoke great cigars from the source! While stationed in Honduras I attended several cigar rolling parties and just really fell in love with the whole culture. I have smoked cigars off an on throughout the years, but nothing serious and with limited knowledge. It was not until a few years ago that I really got into it. My brother had just started getting into it so I searched the internet until I found a great deal that came with some cigars, a humidor, a cutter and I purchased it as a Christmas present for him. Since then we have really embraced the whole culture and it is just another great pastime for the both of us to share additional common ground.
As for me I am really into maduro wraps and medium to full flavored sticks. Some of my favorite brands are by Drew Estate, Joya De Nicaragua, Nica Libre, Rocky Patel, Cohiba (only tried the DR so far) Ave Maria, Montechristo and Punch to name a few. I really love to enjoy these with a nice Scotch or strong IPA. Well I am looking forward to meeting fellow brothers of the leaf and further enriching my enjoyment and knowledge of fine cigar smoking!
