Hello All,
I am a recently retired Police Officer who had my career ended after 27 years when I was struck by a drunk driver while on a traffic detail. I was hurt back in 2009 and found the beauty of cigar smoking during my long recovery. Once I was released from the hospital and rehab center I was home bound for quite a while. I decided I needed a hobby and chose cigars. I began learning as much as I could about them and smoked my very first stick, an Alec Bradley Tempus and knew immediately that I found my new passion. Mail order became my best friend as I went crazy ordering sampler packs and all the good stuff necessary to further my new passion. I now have 3 humi's, a 150 qt Collidor and about 450+ sticks in my arsenal.
I am still awaiting 2 additional surgeries that will bring me to as good as I am going to get but now instead of being bummed out about going through all the hospital crap again, the part that really hurts is I won't be able to smoke until I'm home again! It will certainly help motivate me to get through all the Physical Therapy really quickly though.
Anyway, I look forward to participating frequently here at BOTL and leaning what I can and contributing where I can.
Marc
