Just joined the group yesterday. I have been smoking cigars now for a little over 3 years and have gotten into it a lot more the last 2 years. Had my first cigar at the Hamburg store of cigars international. Went to the Cabelas across the road to pick up some hunting gear with my brother in law and his friends. They wanted to go for a cigar so I agreed to try one. Picked up one of their mild bland labs samplers and enjoyed it with my beer. For the first year or so I only really smoked in the yard or at my in laws hunting property in upstate NY. After going to my first cigarfest I started looking for other places to enjoy my new hobby as I explore different cigars. Last year I started joining various cigar groups and started learning more about cigars.
I was born and raised in the Morris Park area of the Bronx, I lived in Westchester for a while until I got married. Currently I live in Queens, NY and work on Long Island. I work in the IT industry of sorts. I do custom programming and network support and administration for a small Asset Recovery company on LI while running their eCommerce company and doing some consulting on the side. Other than smoking cigars I enjoy cooking and baking as well as legit BBQing (low, slow and smokey). I also like to target shoot and hunt as well as do some work on my truck when I have time. Lately I have been experimenting with some 3d modeling and 3d printing and have some plans in the works to start experimenting with laser engraving. It always seemed interesting so I figure what the hell.
Other than smoking cigars on my deck, in my truck and upstate I also frequent Maxis lounge in Franklin Square on LI. Nice friendly place if you are ever in the area. I enjoy smoking just about anything. I figure I haven't been smoking long enough to say what I prefer so I will try anything twice and if I like it I start buying them. Currently some of my favorites is the Liga Dirty Rat, CAO Steel Horse Apehanger, Alec Bradley Lineage, Tatuaje 7th Reserva, Romacraft Aquitaine Anthropology, Rocky Patel A-10 and Drew Estates Kentucky Fire Cured.
Thinking that might be enough for now. If anyone has any questions do not hesitate to ask.
Stay Smokey
