Hello all, my name is Ken, and I'm from South Jersey. I live 20 miles outside of Philadelphia, and around 40 miles outside of Atlantic City. I guess I'd consider myself a newbie, as I just began smoking cigars, and smoking period last summer. My first cigar was an infused cigar that I picked up while on vacation in P.R. After vacation, I visited a few local B&M's to establish a relationship, and to get an idea of what I was getting myself into. I can't say enough of how much help the local B&M staff have been at helping my move from mild to medium sticks, and assisting me with sticks I might like. I still like infused cigars, mainly the ACID Kuba's, but prefer a noninfused for everyday. My favorite cigar to date is RP Vintage 1990's, followed by H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon and Oliva G's. I'm just developing a palette to be able to distinguish different aromas and flavors, so you probably won't see much in reviews from me yet, maybe after I get some more stick under my belt. I just purchased a 100 count humidor a few weeks ago, and it finished seasoning yesterday (used Boveda seasoning kit). I've been ordering boxes and 5 packs of smokes that I tried and like, so this morning the humidor was loaded up with around 83 cigars. I'm looking forward to making a coolidor, or something similar by the summer to expand my stash. This can be an expensive hobby, but I think researching the different smokes by reading up on them, seeing what others are smoking, and trying them out, is a great way to learn what I like. It's 21 degrees here (freezing outside and no smoking in the house), and my smoke was an Oliva G a few minutes ago, but it was well worth it. I'm looking forward to sharing experiences here, and hope to learn alot from the veterans. See you guys around.
