Originally from Tacoma, WA, where i was born and raised, and started my cigar smoking life at the ripe age of 18. still remember my first smoke, a macanudo. Currently active duty army, stationed at Fort Stewart, GA. Ive been in nearly two years now, serving in the field artillery community. My unit is currently deployed downrange supporting OEF. thanks for all the welcomes guys! to all those in washington, im looking for a good smoke shop in the tacoma-seattle area, that my wife can go to and purchase some cigars to send me, any suggestions?

South of Seattle, for places you can smoke and buy, I'd recommend Smokey Joes (in Fife inside BJ's Bingo), it's a swanky joint. Love the place, the manager Mark is a great dude, the staff is cool, and they have great selection.

There's also the Thunderbird Trading Post. It's a lot less swanky, kinda like a dive bar, so if you like that atmosphere, it's a great place and the owner's a cool dude. They have fun events, and the old guys who hang out there are awesome. Good selection and prices there too.

Probably the closest place to her is the Tinderbox, on Hosmer. They've got cool staff and a pretty decent selection.

In Seattle, you can't smoke anywhere I'm aware of, but Rain City Cigars is a great B&M shop. Only place to smoke up there is Snoqualmie, which I hear is nice, but never been myself.

Perfect write up above about the shops, but keep in mind that you don't have to pay taxes at Smokey Joes and the Thunderbird because they are on Reservation land. The Tinderbox will charge taxes...
