Howdy folks!

I'm impressed with the welcome thread I was redirected to after confirming my account. Kudos for putting all the info in a very accessible place.

About me:
I live in Oregon, home to mild weather, few bugs, and fantastic outdoor opportunities. I have been happily married for 17 years and I have two elementary aged daughters. I've smoked pipes for a good number of years but I've only smoked one cigar. I brew my own beer, roast my own coffee, and consistently remark how much my garage needs to be cleaned. Tomorrow I hit the big 4-0.

I'm looking forward to getting to know this forum and slowly checking out cigars.

Thanks for the welcome! In recent days I finished bottling 10 gal of beer (a coffee stout and a kit called
California Steam). Another 5 gallons (a DIPA) is in the primary.

Tonight I'll roast some coffee to take on a weekend trip to Bend, Oregon.

Good to have you here...I used to work for Willamette Industries ( Will-am-it...dammit ) where everybody who wasn't from the Great Northwest couldn't pronounce it. I was a Plant Manager and would travel there on business and keep looking at Bend as a place to move.

Welcome from another PNW brother. I love Willamette Valley but it's been too long since I've been.

But come on, you brew beer and coffee, but you don't make any Pinot?!? :)

Pinot... Hmm I bet my wife would really get behind that idea! I'll have to look into it. I should have most of the equipment needed...

My wife surprised me with a trip to Central Oregon. I scoped out the balcony... good spot for a pipe or cigar.

Flipping through the book I found:

Well, her intentions were good.
