First time Nub smoker...

Nub Habano 466

The Nub was tasty! I would say it was mild-medium body with some spice and the concept is amazing. It's like smoking the sweet spot of a cigar right away without having to go through the first inch or so. I had the 466, which was 4"x66 ring gauge. It was hella wide! Next time, I would do the torpedo to have it fit more comfortable in my mouth. About the biggest negative I have for Nub, is that it's really, really close your face on light-up. So much so that I got a bit of smoke up into my nose during the light-up. Also, lighting up a 66-rg cigar is no joke! But the extra-wide does allow it to stay cool pretty much all the way up until the end. I'll be picking up more of these bad boys in the future.

Thanks for the review bro. When the Nubs first came out I was crazy about them. CI had a great deal on a variety sampler box. I got burned out on them very fast. Now I don't smoke them at all.

Nice review. Would've loved seeing some photos but thats just a minor thing "next review hopefully"

Aren't these causing controversy ? Naming rights issues case vs the nubber accessory or something ? :stickbeat

good point, i appriciate the idea behind it, but i'd like to see him (sam) branch out on the blends soon, show what that concept can really do, i take a bit of concern with the cain, being a traditional shape, not a nub.

may be a sign of the times.

I have always been a fan of nubs. I enjoy them all but my two favorites are the Connecticut and maduro!

I had a Cain & thought that it was pretty good. Better than a Nub IMHO.

He was trying to expand to a Nub Miami that was to be made by Padilla but that idea is on hold. I personally love the Connecticut in the morning with coffee.

I had a couple of bundles when they came out last year. They were ok. Just a gimmick. Come on 'sweet spot', if it is a quality smoke the whole thing is a sweet spot. It isn't a damn tennis racquet!

I'll echo Joe - Liked em alot & they can be snatched up on some great deals - just got burned out on them quickly & don't care for them anymore.

The Cain was okay - missing something though... I'll try the maduro when I come across it...

Thanks everyone!

I was describing my first Nub experience...but I can see how smoking these may get tiring. Just gotta rotate, I guess.

I'm mostly a medium body cigar smoker, but will venture out into Connecticut lights and maduro fulls every once in a while. I enjoy the habanos and corojos mostly.

I have photos on my iPhone! I'll get them into the Mac and attached here somewhere after I figure out how to do that...

I'm really starting to get into taking pics of the cigars I smoke into at least the iPhone for posterity's sake!

I also got burned out on these, mainly due to finding the Pepin/Tat/Illusione flavors that I just can't get enough of. The Nub Maduro is a VERY big step up from the first 3 and I would recommend it to anyone.
