Help!!! Cigar travel humidor

Needs some help Brothers
My wife bought me this cigar caddy and its my first one but is it normal for the foam to smell funky plus how can i remove the smell or is it normal? Thank you

just leave it open and let sit for a week, or stuff newspaper in it....

The makers of those things save every penny they can. They don't use scent free glue. Just let it breath for a bit and it will clear out.

Mine took a loooong time to rid itself of the smell.. after a month of airing out, and still smelling just as strong, I finally took out the foam, washed it really well, then took some baking soda in a coffee filter pouch, and closed it up for a week or two.. then lined the inside, between the foam and plastic with cedar.. you can barely smell the foam anymore..

The foam is just held in place by double sided tape.. be easy, and it'll come right out.

+1 on the baking soda. I also use mine to dry box what I'll be smoking in the next couple of days so I pulled off that little humidifier thingy and used velcro to attach a 62% boveda in its place. Seems to work fine, when I want to recharge the boveda I pull it of the velcro and replace it with a fresh one.

I left coffee beans in mine for a week. They obsorb smells. And yes the coffee smell went away
