A guy I work with is doing the "Polar Plunge" in the tidewater area of Virginia in a few weeks..

He's trying to raise a little money to help the Special Olympics in Virginia.. and is just a few bucks shy of hitting his goal..

Great guy, supporting a great cause.. if anyone could help him get just a little bit closer (even $1) it would be appreciated..

lol.. they froze their collective a$$es off (this is the second year Joe (buddy) and a couple of other guys from the office have all done this together..

I dont think it was as brutal this year as it was last.. but.. jumping into the atlantic in February isnt fun.. no matter how mild a winter its been lol..

Jumping in to the Atlantic? Try in to a frozen MN lake with a hole cut through over a foot of ice!
That being said, I highly recommend this to anybody in an area where Special Olympics does it. I did with a group of buddies for a few years straight. Amazing cause to raise funds for, and it's really not that bad...
More like "exhilarating"!
Plus they always had hot tubs and cocktails for us after.
