Hi Guys,

I'm in the middle of my first AR-15 build (I've never even owned one before). The one I'm building is really a hodgepodge of different parts/ brands/ etc...

I'm in need of 2 more components really:
1) Lower Parts Kit
2) Bolt Carrier group

I really am a dummy when it comes to specifics of all this stuff. I probably couldn't even name you the brand of upper/ lower/ anything else on the gun. (I'm getting a lot of help from a friend of mine, but he is leaving this stuff up to me.) I'm looking for solid parts that are also cost effective. My hope is that I can throw together this one and have it last awhile, but then really get into it more and build a much more legit one later.

I would appreciate any help with this stuff. Links to good sets/ parts, etc.

Thanks!!

1. Palmetto State Armory has a really good sale on their LPK right now. $25 for it, with a grip. Can't link it to you right now since I'm at work.
2. Bravo Company

Just ordered the Blackhawk LPK from Palmetto!! Awesome price! Thanks.

Now on the Bravo Company bcg, it says "auto". I'm assuming that means automatic? Legal?
:dunno:

Color me confused...

The "auto" carriers are simply beefed up for hard use. That style is put into military contracts and such. You want it. Won't make your gun full auto, but it will give you peace of mind that your BCG will never break.

Ah. Well that is certainly helpful. Thanks!!! I'll probably be placing the order today as well. For 190 bucks, that's about 35 cheaper than what I've seen it for. Thanks so much, Alex!

Just placed an order for the BCG as well. I'm super pumped. I'm meeting with a mutual friend to pick up a lower later this week hopefully. This baby should be done soon!!

Hey, Congrats on your first build. I just saw this thread since I just joined BOTL earlier this week. So how did the build go? Is it complete? Fired it yet?

If you have any other questions about your build, PM me - I have built more than my fair share of them . If you were able to get it completed - Lets see it - and tell us how it shot.

Ar 15 thread in the proper forum if you have any questions post them. Lol. I have two builds to start myself and I'm sure others would be interested in the questions or able to answer
