Help with iOS4 upgrade.

Anyone know what I might do here?

I've got an iPhone 3G and I'm running a PC with Windows XP Pro. I've been trying for HOURS to upgrade to iOS4 with no luck.

The first time I tried my Outlooks crashed, Firefox froze and eventually iTunes stopped responding and I had to restart the machine. I've tried 3 more times and no luck. I've tried shutting the phone off and restarting but no luck with that either.

Right now I've had it running for over an hour and this is what I've got... it's been stuck at this exact point for about 45 minutes.

There's nothing you can do... this is just Apple's strategy to entice people into buying the new iPhone! :devilhead

But for real... sorry for the issues. I'll be updating mine later.

Sometimes backups take 30-60 mins for me. You may want to give it some more time. But it may be frozen again.

It's not good to mess with it or have computer crash when doing an upgrade. Some users end up with bricks like that.

I knew it could take a while based on past upgrades but this one is literally sitting for almost an hour with no progress. I'm not even getting to the actual update, just the backup. I was afraid it my brick mine out but so far I'm still running.
