I need your wisdom please....

I bought these Padilla 1932 Toro's and I was told that these may be rare. I know these were made back in 2007 and it is a Padilla/Pepin blend. I was told that these may be rare because they are in a 13ct box. Does anyone know the truth about this? Here are some pics:

Definately Pepin-factory, but I've never heard of a 13-count box.

Here's an idea, have NO faith in it, just a random thought: Don Pepin was know to roll cigars himself from time to time. He reutinely did the Padilla Miami 8&11 Salamon, but would occasionally roll others himself as well. Usually the box said something to that effect, I beleive ... I forget the phrase in Spanish. Anyway, that might explain the 1/2 box.

I guess I missed the dirt cheap era, lol. I've gotten some of the new ones cheap, and they are shaping up to be really awesome as well.

They sure were. Sorry i never picked up more. I would say if these were the original 1932 oscuros, then you had one hell of a box there, but i don't believe they were ever boxed in 13's. At any rate, you have a nice box on your hands. Enjoy them.

Here is what I remember;
Originally Don Pepin Garcia and Ernesto Padilla made the blend.

They were blended by Pepin and produced at his Miami and or Nicaragua factory, but as of sometime in 2008 they are now are made completely by Padilla.

As I recall, after the split, Padilla moved production to Miami’s Little Havana.

So your 2007's are the original blend/tobaccos which many people prefer.

Very cool!:ccool:

Best wishes,

Dafiddla

Those boxes says something to the effect - Handrolled by Master Blender Pepin Garcia. Not exact wording since it's from memory. I have a box of Miami 8/11 like that.

Those Padillas are one of my favorite smokes. I have a few boxes from '07 that are smoking great right know.

Nice find and if you don't like them, you won't have a problem getting rid of them.
