Thanks for not auto syncing my songs correctly this week in Itunes. Because of your shitty programing I fucked around so long and deleted all 189 of my contacts! I may be stupid but I wasn't the one that didn't auto sync correctly! I guess I'll update to the new software now!!!!! The first thing mine does when I plug it in is "backing up iphone". Then it syncs.

iTunes only keeps a single backup of each device. So when you back up your iPhone it automatically overwrite your old back up with your new one.



joliet.. don't upgrade to iOS4 on the plain 3G. It'll slow down your phone considerably. You're best sticking with just iOS 3.1.3 unless you upgrade your phone to the new 4th gen or have a 3GS.

The iOS 4.0 update completely fracked all iPhone 3G units (mine included). There are a range of problems people are experiencing, including yours, as well as frequent crashes, battery drains, very slow responses, etc. Apple knows about the problem, and says "update coming."

Apple knows about the issue, but the more people who CALL AND EMAIL them, the faster they'll get a patch out to fix the issues.

I only use my 3G as an iPod, and even so it's really frustrating right now. The iPod program usually crashes 4 times at least before I can open it up to play something.

That being said, I'll probably order the new iPod Touch as soon as it's out.
