I have been out of touch again. After battling with my employer to try and get the hours they promised me, I think they got wind of me looking for a new job (And being unhappy a lot) and they canned me.
So I have been unemployed for a little over the month. I hate job hunting, but I have been under less stress lately than when I was working. Been able to have a couple cigars from my stash, and wake up earlier than before.
So since it is summer, the hiring has slowed down at a lot of companies and people are on vacation. If anyone wants to hire me out as a contract sys admin to help work on web servers or set up a blog site or something let me know. Or if you hear of any openings in the New York / New Jersey area for Linux System Administrator I'd be interested. I can pass along my LinkedIn profile if anyone wants to connect there.
So unfortunately because of all this business I didn't get to go to the Chicago Herf like I had wanted. Maybe some local guys want to get together sometime this summer. I am not used to having all this free time, especially after working graveyard and then second shift for so long.
