What's up guys? I'm new, both to the board and cigars.
A little bit of background: my wife calls me a professional hobbyist as I am constantly learning about some new hobby. I took up drums in school and studied some in college, still play professionally when I can. From there I moved on to computers, which I use now to make a living. After that I got my pilots license and flew until I couldn't afford it anymore, so I took up RC airplanes for a while. Then my oldest daughter was born and since then haven't had much time for that either.
I've been getting into cigars more lately in an attempt to stop smoking cigarettes. Working so far and I'm enjoying the hobby greatly. I only have time for one or two a week so I'm not a heavy smoker, and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of trying to figure out what I like.
I do keep notes along with the rings from everything I smoke so I can remember what's good, but I'm just trying a little bit of everything. I had a Brickhouse last week that I really enjoyed and I also liked the Oliva Connecticut Reserve that I had. Apparently my tastes are starting off mild and budget conscious, but I'm trying to keep a good variety. My local B&M has been good about suggesting stuff for me, but I'm always open to suggestions.
Anyway, just saying hi. I'll go back to lurking for a while now.
