Okay, so I'm smoking my first Tatuaje Unicos right now. Yea yea, why have I not smoked one before now, right?

I bought a 5er from Dan at NHC about 4 months ago and have been resting them. I've been eyeing it all week. Tonight I have some time so it lit it up.

I'm just SO AMAZED and Pete and Don Pepin's ability to make cigars within the same line taste so incredibly different. This is only my 4th stick from the brown label (had one Reserva SW, a Noella Reserva, and several Noellas which I totally love). This Unicos is so completely different from the others I've had.

I'm only an inch into this, but it's frickin' awesome. It's about as different from the Noella as I can think of, but so great. If you've been a tard like me and haven't smoked one yet, drop whatever you're doing right now and go smoke one. Seriously, just do it.

Just finishing this up ... MAN what a great cigar! So much flavor, but also pretty smooth. The ash didn't hold well, but I find that with a lot of Tats. Small price to pay.

It's hard to compare the Unicos to anything else, but the flavors sort of reminded me of a Man o War Ruination. The Tat is much smoother, though, and not as strong (this was no stronger than the Noella, maybe even less so). But I think both the Ruination and Unicos are trying to resemble the Cuban Monte #2, from what I've read. I've not had one yet, though.

Unicos = 94 rating for the maiden voyage!

Nj I know you like the Red line alot, but I revisited a 07 Hermosa the other night. IMO not even on par with brown labels. At least i retride the reds again. Glad you liked it.

IMVHO the Victorias and Angeles are the best of the line. The first time I smoked an Angeles was the same week I had my first (only) Partagas Short. There were a great many similarities to me.

To each his own, of course. This Unicos was certianly fantastic.
