Got in yesterday morning, and I'm on leave until 03 Jan Get some good quality time in with the Mrs...(it will be the last chance for a while)....15 weeks, 6 broken bones (2 toes, 2 fingers, 1 rib, and a fractured hip) later, I am *almost* a Scout! 23 days left of training when I return to Ft. Knox, then I'm off to Air Assault to jump outta helicopters for 2 weeks My orders from there are to Camp Casey Korea, and from there to the sandbox with parts of the 2ID (frickin Army couldn't put me in a Cav unit, nooooo...they have to stick me with the infantry pukes )...

Any of you Texas crew up for a little holiday get together??

Andrew

ps my cell phone is still turned off, so call me on the Mrs' (713)306 3117 I'll be back on later with some more poop from the Knox, but now, it's time for more 'quality time'

Great to hear from you! I was wondering how you were doing. Looks like getting beat up! Best of luck with everything and it certainly sounds like you are keeping yourself busy!

Make sure to smoke some good ones while you're back home!

Damn! I knew the Marines kicked butt ... but I didn't think they kicked their own as well.

Damn! But I guess you should consider yourself lucky you didn't sign up for the Marines!

One of the broken toes is courtesy of a barrel swap gone bad on an .50 cal:stickbeat , not sure where the other one came from...Both broken fingers and my broken rib are courtesy of hand to hand combatives classes, and the fractured hip, your guess is as good as mine, I woke up one day and couldn't walk:eyepoke: ...

As to the Marines, well, I hope the tankers and mechanics we encounter at Knox are no indication of their infantry and recon elements, or Chesty Puller is sure to be rolling in is grave

ANybody got any smoke suggestions?

Andrew
