Well tomorrow I turn 44 (Big John Riggins Number!) Anyways I'm sorting through Sept bills and our budget. Just wrote a check to the state $374 for auto license's/Plates which killed and then the wife comes home and says she went school shopping at Target and Kohls. Did the whole speech about all the money she saved and the good deals to be had and layed out the six bags of stuff she baught. Between the two it was almost a $500 sale. Now I'm not an @ssh*le and I could see she was happy about all the stuff she got even if it wasn't all school stuff. All I could see was the intrest that would cancell out the sale if I didn't pay it off before the month. This added with the license bill crashed any hopes of funny money I was looking forward to having for some new smokes this month. So after I stroll back to my den wondering how I'm going to budget that in she comes back and asks what can her and the boys get me for my bithday...I just said...I really don't need a thing as long as I got you and the boys in my life.
Yea..It's supposed to be my special day...but it's true. Forgetting about my own material wants and the bills, I am really a lucky man.
I truely don't need anything but them...To my family I owe everything and I love them!!
Sorry my fellow BOTL'rs...I just needed to get that out and this seemed as good as any place to do it. Besides you know I'll find a way to scrape up a 5'r somehow!

Tom I hear you loud and clear brother. My bday is in october and I have the same thing going on. We have my daughters 10th in 2 weeks amd we are moving after that. My truck just needed new brakes and school shopping just happened. I said forget about my bday there will be another next year. We truly are lucky men to have a great family and that is more important than anything else.

Howdy and Happy Birthday.

I understand where you are at. My birthday is coming up on the 10th and I just paid for MSU for my son plus his books. Find yourself a fiver somewhere though and maybe get a little quiet time with a smoke today.

Best regards, tony

A tom its been said over and over again. The best things in life are free, buuuuuuut that doesn't mean they don't come with expenses. LoL, I've come to the conclusion just this year matter fact recently that I was doing alot of complaining as of late and sometimes when you see what other people have or don't have, then look at what you have you get this wake up call? What the hell am I complaining about, I have a Good job, a car, family, friends, a nice house which wouldn't mean nothing if I didn't have a wife & 3 wonderful kids to make it a home! So I know the feeling aw too well and you know what even if I were flat broke.........my kids told me this 11,9,2 more so my 9 year old " I don't care that you can't get me everything I ask for, I know that your doing the best that you can!" Priceless....

Great attitude, and unfortunately, something I need to hear as much as possible. In an attempt to be a little less selfish, I'm going to send a 5er your way. PM me any of your wishes and I'll see what I can do about it.
