so I'm going on my honeymoon in a couple of weeks. I'm going to Mexico and the resort is about dead middle in between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. Has anyone been to either or both of the LCDH in the cities? Which one is better and which one should I visit? Thanks in advance.

Take plenty of pics of the LCDH and the stock.
Fakes and poor storage are manifest in Mexico, but you can find real ,well kept cigars.

Expect to experience sticker shock, the prices are steep.............

I'll be in Cancun next week and Def going by the lcdh there to hangout. I'm sure they are overpriced but I've heard good things about the owner/manager. Anything in particular you're looking for?

Not really Dee! Just looking for something good to smoke on while I'm down there. I'll be there the 14-21. Let me know how it is down there when you get back please.

It's your honeymoon... definitely go and enjoy a nice cigar and mojito, live it up! But as others said, be prepared for sticker shock. Cuban cigars that many of us pay $7-$9 each for, you can expect to see prices ranging from $20-$30 roughly. Just pick something that's in your price range and catches your eye. The Edmundo Dantes would be a special cigar as it's a Mexican Regional Edition only sold in Mexico, but goes for $55ish... they might be all gone though.

If it were me, I'd bring my own special cigar and smoke there. Just buy a basic cigar or two along with drinks out of respect for the lounge.

Unless you are wanting to buy something while "on" your honeymoon, I would advise to bring your own.

It's so unfortunate that it is the way it is, but not only are the prices stupid high, you also have no idea what you are getting at these places anymore.

Wish I would have seen this earlier. Been there a few times(LCdH Cancun).

Have a stack of pictures of the place.

Mexico cigar prices are high & I bring most my sticks down. That said, I like to spend some time at the LCdH and so usually buy and smoke at least one there. As shown above, it was a Monty ED Regional, which a paid $45 for, that was okay by me and a FANTASTIC cigar by the way. It in no way disappointed.

Damn $45 is a gamble when buying a cigar that can have terrible draw! But looks nice!

I think you know exactly what you are getting at an LCdH.

Would be interesting to see what they would have said if it was plugged. Assume they would have replaced it, if they couldn't fix the draw to an acceptable level.
