A buddy of mine received 3 of these from a client of his and gave me one. I've never smoked or seen a real Cuban in person. He was told they are real, are they? This is the one he have me.

Band looks good but is there a 3rd cap up there? I see 2 for sure and a faint line that might be a 3rd but hard to tell from the pic...

In the first pic it looks like it has 3. From what I see it looks good. Smoke it and see if you like that's what matters anyway

Not sure if I am part of the few now, but if it were fake I wouldn't recommend smoking it. Even if others say "Hey they have been great!", not knowing the source of a fake, the conditions in which it was rolled and what went into it just doesn't sound appealing to me.

Thanks guys, I knew I would get good feedback from this site. Holding it in my hand it does have 3 caps. I was leary about smoking it reading all the things they put in fakes until I asked here. Now that I feel good about it being real, I'm going to smoke it when my Royals clinch a playoff spot this week (magic mumber is down to 1) for the first time in 30 years! Seems like the perfect occasion for my first Cuban.

Great idea! It's not often you hear the words "Royals" and "playoffs" in the same sentence. Enjoy it brother!

Have a heart Chef. You guys have dominated the Central for years. At least let me enjoy my wildcard berth :applause:. Haha!

Did you cut the top already or use a punch? If not, the cap looks a little beat up... hard to see/tell from the pics. Can you take a pic of the head looking down and also the foot so we can see the tobacco/bunching? The band looks okay from a quick glance.

Same as above, is there a 3rd cap? Band looks good but you can't tell from just that. Would be nice to see the foot as well.

I agree on smoking fakes. I will say however that if a counterfeit has perfect band and packaging and it's suspect, I'd be more comfortable lighting up a high quality fake than ones with grass and bushes in them.

Looks like he beat the crap out of it trying to get the ring off. Oh, and I've found string and treated wood (like from pressure treated 2x4s) when I split open a counterfeit from a buddy who got a great deal on Monte #2s in Jamaica. I would estimate that 90% of the time, CC gifts from friends abroad (not cigar-educated) are completely bogus. You never know though.
