I scored some of the Padron Family Reserve 44th maduro and naturals. It seemed that they were really tough to find a few months ago but are a little more available now.

I wondered if anyone had any idea what kind of numbers they planned on releasing? Seems like more than I first thought. Anyone have any info?

Still pretty rare. My B&M only got 8 boxes (half maduro, half natural) and they get everything. I think they got like 30 boxes of each in the 45th's...

I have been seeing them more and more as well. Most of the shops in the area that normally carry the 64s or 26s have been having a few of FR44s in stock. I have still yet to try them.

I know more have shipped and more are set to ship. As far as numbers Padron will keep making them until they run out of the tobacco to make them, and then their will be more next year. I don't consider these LE, more like the Opus that you may not find year around, and some years they ship more than others. Same as 40th and 80th.

I just bought a box of 44 maddies, I haven't smoked any yet but gifted out 2 and both people said they were quite a bit better than the 45 maddie and 1 of those had just smoked a 45 maddie the day before. I may get around to smoking one this weekend.

I just talked to Padron yesterday while placing an order. They said they weren't sure if they were still making the 44 anymore but would ship if they have them. Sounds like the run maybe over soon guys.

I hope they're better than the 45's. I had a 45 at my local shop a couple weeks ago and I thought it was extremely strong and way too in your face for a Padron cigar. It was a 26 on steriods to me. It lacked complexity for strength. Padron's never have much complexity, but at least the predominant flavor they usually have is very good. Maybe I'll try a 44 but I did not care for a 45. And that's coming from a hardcore Padron fan.

Was it a Maddy or Nat? I didn't care for the Nat but the Maddy is much smoother and enjoyable. I put my Nat's down to rest.

I'm pretty sure it was a Maduro...about 99 percent on that. It's funny because I only smoke Maduro with Padron. I loved the 40th and the 64's and even some of the 26's..but that 45 was very, very strong.
