How I remove a photo from a coffee mug?

Hello Friends,

I have a mug I want to take multipurpose, but am a bit embarrassed of the photo on it. How can I remove the photo from it? If anyone having any idea relating this topic please suggest me.

I'm giving my embarrassing photo mugs to my secret Santa recipient.

Maybe you could paint over it with some sort of spray paint or brush on paint.

The easiest method may be to just buy a new mug though.

Leave it in a dishwasher and run it through multiple cycles. Our branded mugs in work eventually faded back to white
