How long do you keep the Boveda 84% RH packs in a new humidor before it's ready for use? I've read/seen 24 hours, 1 week, and 2 weeks. Which one is right?
taking your time seasoning will lead to less RH problems in the future. For me I like to leave them in there a week then take out the boveda put the hygrometer for 24hrs and see where it stabalizes i want to see 70-75 cause it will drop when you toss sticks in.

14 days - don't stop early and don't get excited about what your hygro is saying because the air RH is not important. Extensive testing has been done to know that it takes 14 days for wood to reach saturation the right way (through the air not through direct contact with water). Throw your sticks in humidor bags or tupperware with Boveda 69 so you don't get antsy while waiting.
