1,768 feet above the ground??

I normally don't post much stuff like this, but stumbled across this video today that blew my mind.

Two guys free-climb one of those beacon towers to change the lightbulb at the top - one of them wearing a helmet cam.

Can't even imagine what these guys make in a year, but whatever it is, couldn't be CLOSE to enough to get me up there...

that is one of the craziest things i've ever seen. However, i'd personally think climbing down is hard than climbing up.

I used to work on a drawbridge in Wilmington, NC and occassionaly had to climb over the side to the catwalk below to change bulbs and that was plenty enough for me. No way in hell would I climb one of those towers.

Amazing video, I could never do that.
Each time he transitioned from one section to another I had to catch my breath.
Scary shit.

Ya I would never be able to do that. Makes me sick to my stomach just watching it.

I may have just crapped my pants a little bit. Those guys are certifiable. You'd think in the year 2010 we'd have technology to make that either easier or unnecessary. And free climbing? You have got to be kidding me! 1700' up without a safety net? The circus will never impress me again...
