Interesting article in the NY Times this morning on the new tests that those wanting to be US Citizens would have to take. In looking at it, I was amazed that if I had to take it and the results determined my residency... I'd probably be deported.

That said, I wonder how many of us this would impact similiarly...

I think that whole thing is pretty freakin' stupid however. We should give them a test like this. If they get 1 or more right, you can come to the country and we'll put your ass in jail forever.

1. List the main ingredient in fertilizer that makes it useable for explosive devices.

2. If you are planning on blowing up the Hoover dam and need at least 15 minutes to reach a safe distance, how long must you set the timer on the bomb?

I looked at the full exam and I wasn't nearly as stupid as I thought I could be. I am kind of a political junky and history buff so maybe that's where some of that useless info was for. So I could imigrate to my own country.
