So I was north of the border today and picked up a few CC's to bring home with me. I scored two Monte No 2s, Partagas Serie E No 2, H. Upmann Magnum 50, and a Ramon Allones. My question is, how much rest should I give these? I don't know the year on them, but I assume they are 2014 as the store only opened in July. Do these need to sit a year? More?

Most stuff has been smoking nicely right away. Some do benefit with some downtime, and will get better with age, but I do know that at least the Monte 2 and RASS from both '13 and '14 have smoked very well for me.
It used to be that you'd need several years for them to be enjoyable. Whatever they've been doing lately has resulted in cigars that smoke nicely right away. Most will continue to age and get better over time, but it's no longer a rule that you have to lay them down for years anymore.

Cigars like you mentioned tend to do well in my humidors and I wouldn't be adverse to offer my 'magic humidor' to resting your stuff in there....I'm as amazed as anybody as to why this is......
